Football Icon Cristiano Ronaldo Gets Engaged to Longtime Love Georgina Rodríguez.
Cristiano Ronaldo is starting a new chapter off the pitch — the football legend is officially engaged to his long-time partner, Georgina Rodríguez.
Rodríguez revealed the news on social media with a photo of her dazzling ring, captioned in Spanish: “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.” While no further details have been shared, Ronaldo, the most-followed person on Instagram, has yet to publicly comment on the engagement.
The couple’s love story began nine years ago in Madrid, when they met at a Gucci store where Rodríguez worked, during Ronaldo’s Real Madrid days. Over the years, they have built a family together — two children of their own, including daughter Bella born in April 2022, and three others whom Rodríguez helps raise. Bella’s birth was bittersweet, as her twin brother was stillborn.
Rodríguez, 31, is also known for her Netflix reality series I Am Georgina, where she once addressed constant jokes from friends about a wedding. Celebrities were quick to react to the announcement, with Kim Kardashian, Piers Morgan, Charlotte Tilbury, and Lauren Sanchez-Bezos among those sending well-wishes.
Currently living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo plays for Al-Nassr, the couple’s engagement comes as Ronaldo’s career shows no signs of slowing down. The 40-year-old recently extended his contract with the club until 2027, continuing his record-breaking run with a reported £177m ($238m) annual salary.
